# How many modular courses (modules) am I required to attend?

All students are required to attend the following number of in-person modular courses over the course of their studies:

- MDiv/BDiv students = **at least 3** in-person modular class (2 for student that began before Fall 2023).
- MATS/DTS students = **at least 2** in-person modular class (1 for student that began before Fall 2023).
- MABC/DBC students = **at least 2** in-person modular class (1 for student that began before Fall 2023).
- MAPS/DPS students = **at least 1** in-person modular class.

##### There will be three forms of exemption

**Distance Exception**

Students who reside in other countries can apply for an exemption if they are unable to afford the trip.

**Hardship Compassion**

Students whose financial circumstances prohibit them from being able to attend will also be able to apply for an exemption.

**Transfer Modification**

Students who transfer in a large percentage of their credits (or current students who have already completed a large percentage of their required credits) may also apply for an exemption or a reduction.
