You can either enter them directly in the Username & Password input boxes or use the "Continue with Authelia" option. Authelia is the recommended method but either works.

Note: If using the direct login method, your username will take the form @username:matrix.cbtscommons.org. For instance @keach:matrix.cbtscommons.org.

    1. If you select "Continue with Authelia", you will be taken to your browser to complete signing in.

Confirm your identity (if this is your first time signing in, skip this step)

Once you have completed step #4 of Sign in to Element, you will be asked to confirm your identity before you can proceed. This step requires you to be signed in on another device or to have your recovery keys available. Below is the standard process to confirm your identity using another device. If you need assistance at any point, please contact Isaac.

  1. Select "Use another device".
  2. Open the other "device" (a device can be a browser you are signed in on, your phone app, or desktop app). You will be presented with a verification request. On that other device, select "Start verification".

  3. On the first device, you will be asked to choose a method to verify. There is only one option so select "Start".
